Important Events

Today, I'm just going to tell you a few important things that have happened so far in my life:
  1. July 20, 2011 I was born at about 6:30 in the morning.  I weighed 7 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long.  Mom says I was beautiful with chubby cheeks and dark hair and I came out looking perfect.  Mom also says that if all babies came as easily as I did, people would have a lot more babies.  She thinks I'm pefect.  I stayed at the hospital two nights, and then I got to come home.  My brother was always trying to give me hugs.  He still tries to give me hugs a lot and he smashes me, but he also sometimes gets mad at me now when I want to play with my toys or get snuggles from Mom when he wants to get snuggles.
  2. 2 months: Mom started going to work and I went to daycare.  I had a lot of fun there.  Now it's summer and I get to play with Mom a lot more.  I really like that, too.
  3. 4 months: started rolling over.  I didn't like to just lay there and do nothing.  I was always trying to wiggle and squirm.  I learned to roll over pretty quickly.  Soon after that, I started trying to move places.  I got pretty good, but it was a lot easier when I started crawling.
  4. 4 1/2 month:  I got to start eating all sorts of other foods.  I really like food.  My favorites right now are mac and cheese, bananas, and noodles.
  5. 6 months: crawling.  From about 5 1/2 months to 6 months old, I was crawling on my elbows with my tummy on the floor (army crawling), but I found out that I can go a lot faster when I learned to crawl for real.  For a long time I would crawl on my left knee and my right foot and get around really quickly that way (I still like to climb stairs like that), but eventually I started putting both knees on the ground.
  6. 9 months: I stopped eating off of Mom.  I liked eating off Mom, but it comes out of a bottle easier, so I really like bottles.  I would eat so much at daycare in a bottle that Mom would sometimes get frustrated because I didn't want to eat as much at home.  I like to eat formula, too, though.  I am not picky with my food.
  7. 9 1/2 months: get my first teeth.  Mom thought this took a long time because Logan got his first teeth when he was only 4 1/2 months.  I am now up to 2 teeth (the bottom center two).
  8. 10 1/2 months: take my first steps.  I would take about 6 steps from Dad to Mom and then back to Dad and keep going back and forth.  At first, I wasn't very good and I would fall forward while trying to keep my feet under me.  Then I got really good and now I can stand without holding anything.  I can also walk better now, but I don't walk as much now since I got hurt.  I like to snuggle more with Mom and be a lot more careful.
